How to reconstitute DSIP

  1. Wipe both vial stoppers with a fresh alcohol swab and let them dry.
  2. Draw 2 ml of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
  3. Insert the needle at an angle into the DSIP vial and let the water run slowly down the inner wall — do not inject directly onto the powder.
  4. Do not shake. Gently swirl the vial until the peptide fully dissolves.
  5. Store the reconstituted vial refrigerated (2–8 °C / 36–46 °F) and use within roughly 28 days.
  6. Draw each dose to the unit mark shown above for your target 100 mcg dose.

About DSIP

DSIP is a naturally occurring nonapeptide first isolated from the brains of sleeping rabbits. It is studied for effects on sleep architecture, stress resilience, and pain modulation.

Half-life: Approximately 7–15 minutes (very short plasma half-life)
Typical dose range: 100–300 mcg per injection, typically at bedtime
Class: Nonapeptide neuromodulator

DSIP calculator FAQ

Is this a DSIP peptide calculator or a reconstitution calculator?

Both. This DSIP calculator converts vial strength, bacteriostatic-water volume, and target dose into milliliters and insulin-syringe units. It does not recommend a medical dose.

How much bacteriostatic water for a 5 mg DSIP vial?

This page is pre-filled with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water for a 5 mg DSIP vial because that is a common research ratio. You can adjust the water amount in the full calculator.

How many units is a 100 mcg DSIP dose?

With the default 5 mg vial and 2 ml BAC-water ratio, the preview above calculates the U-100 syringe units for a 100 mcg dose. Change the dose if your protocol uses a different amount.

Does this DSIP dosage calculator give medical advice?

No. It only performs unit math. Dosing, titration, and whether DSIP is appropriate are clinical decisions that should be made with a licensed healthcare professional.
