How to reconstitute IGF-1 DES

  1. Wipe both vial stoppers with a fresh alcohol swab and let them dry.
  2. Draw 1 ml of bacteriostatic water into a syringe.
  3. Insert the needle at an angle into the IGF-1 DES vial and let the water run slowly down the inner wall — do not inject directly onto the powder.
  4. Do not shake. Gently swirl the vial until the peptide fully dissolves.
  5. Store the reconstituted vial refrigerated (2–8 °C / 36–46 °F) and use within roughly 28 days.
  6. Draw each dose to the unit mark shown above for your target 50 mcg dose.

About IGF-1 DES

IGF-1 DES is a truncated variant of IGF-1 (des[1-3]) with reduced IGFBP-3 binding affinity, producing a stronger local effect at the injection site due to higher free-IGF-1 concentration.

Half-life: Approximately 20–30 minutes
Typical dose range: 30–75 mcg per injection, pre- or post-workout local administration
Class: Short-acting IGF-1 analog

IGF-1 DES calculator FAQ

Is this a IGF-1 DES peptide calculator or a reconstitution calculator?

Both. This IGF-1 DES calculator converts vial strength, bacteriostatic-water volume, and target dose into milliliters and insulin-syringe units. It does not recommend a medical dose.

How much bacteriostatic water for a 1 mg IGF-1 DES vial?

This page is pre-filled with 1 ml of bacteriostatic water for a 1 mg IGF-1 DES vial because that is a common research ratio. You can adjust the water amount in the full calculator.

How many units is a 50 mcg IGF-1 DES dose?

With the default 1 mg vial and 1 ml BAC-water ratio, the preview above calculates the U-100 syringe units for a 50 mcg dose. Change the dose if your protocol uses a different amount.

Does this IGF-1 DES dosage calculator give medical advice?

No. It only performs unit math. Dosing, titration, and whether IGF-1 DES is appropriate are clinical decisions that should be made with a licensed healthcare professional.
